Christmas carol are the most heard one on the twelve days of Christmas. Christmas Carol lyrics are the most famous section in Christmas celebrations. In medieval times social significance traditions are played but know it is low. Christmas Carols was started at the time of Christmas eve and ends on 5th January for eve of epiphany. At this 12 days Christmas yule log will be kept secretly and if these yule log went outside at this 12 days then it will be consider as a ill omen. People used to celebrates this festival occasion by placing themselves with masks and Christmas costumes. This origin was started in 18th century of the twelfth night. Role reversal is the another interesting tradition which was related to twelfth night celebrations. In this celebration men dressed as women and women dressed as men.
People who gets bean or pea at their portions they are chosen as a king and queen for that day and until this celebrations completes they will not eat twelfth night cake, those persons will be the luckiest persons for that day and they pleasured by his/her masters. After this celebration people will play game known as charades in which people pick up a cards and act as that character which was listed in that card for whole twelfth night. This tradition was totally faded slowly in to history and this day was used by people to remove Christmas tree and Christmas decorations from home. This twelve days of Christmas significance for three wise men who came from the east to attend the infant jesus with lots of gifts, stockings, myrrh. This celebration is done because the three men has taken twelve days to reach that place.
